It’s official, folks! Samsung has confirmed the date for its highly-anticipated Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event, set to take place on February 1st in San Francisco. This marks the first in-person Galaxy Unpacked event since the COVID-19 pandemic, and Samsung is pulling out all the stops to make it one to remember.
The event will feature the debut of Samsung’s latest flagship lineup, the Galaxy S23 series, which is said to include three models: the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) CEO TM Roh is even rumored to unveil a “Galaxy dedicated chip” at the event.
In a statement, Samsung described the new Galaxy S series as the “epitome of how we define the ultimate premium experience.” We’re pretty excited to see what they mean by that! The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ are expected to feature a triple camera setup at the rear, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra is rumored to sport a quad rear camera unit led by a 200-megapixel primary sensor.

One thing’s for sure, Samsung is not skimping on the specs for these new devices. The Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23+ are tipped to come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra is said to be offered in 12GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, and even 1TB storage options. And the best part? The new handsets are expected to have a similar price tag to the Galaxy S22 lineup.
The event will be live-streamed via Samsung’s website, Newsroom site, and YouTube channel, so even if you can’t make it to San Francisco, you’ll still be able to catch all the action in real time. The event will start at 11:45 pm and it’s expected to be a spectacle, with lots of new features and innovations on show.
