MAW Group, a leading Nepalese automotive company, has announced a partnership with Seres Group to bring their range of electric vehicles to Nepal. Starting in the third quarter of 2023, Seres will launch electric SUVs, sedans, and mini EVs in Nepal through MAW’s extensive network of dealerships.
Seres Group, famous for their popular DFSK and SERES brands, is China’s first company to independently control the world’s leading three-electric core technology. The domestic leading vehicle manufacturer perfectly integrates intelligent network connection systems and engineering manufacturing, creating a strong foundation for their innovative electric vehicles.
Chairman of MAW Group, Vishnu Kumar Agrawal, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to join forces with SERES Group and bring their state-of-the-art EVs to Nepal. In the international market, Seres currently offers the Seres 3 electric subcompact SUV and Seres 5 sporty premium electric SUV. The Seres 3 is an electric subcompact SUV powered by a 53.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with fast charging capability, generating a maximum of 163 hp of power and torque of 300 Nm. The Seres 3 claims an electric range of 405 kilometers on a full charge, making it a reliable option for everyday use.
The Seres 3 also comes loaded with features like a 10.25-inch multimedia system, a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, electrically adjustable seats, automatic climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. Standard safety features in the Seres 3 include 6 airbags, lane-departure warning alarm, electric-brake force distribution, hill-descent control, hill Ascend control, and auto-hold HAC, among others.
The Seres 5, on the other hand, is a sporty premium electric SUV. Powered by an 80 kWh LFP battery as standard, the Seres 5 provides an NEDC range of 500 kilometers for the standard 2WD version. It features two electric motors with a total output of 585hp and 1040 Nm torque. The car does 0-100km/h in less than 3 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. The Seres 5 supports vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) output as well, making it a powerful and versatile option for those looking for a premium electric SUV.
