London-based consumer tech startup, Nothing, is set to roll out the much-awaited Android 13 update to its Nothing Phone 1 devices. The update, which had an open beta release in December, will be rolled out gradually to users. The company’s support team has confirmed that the update will begin rolling out by the end of this week in the UK, though there has been no official announcement yet.
Founded two years ago by Carl Pie, co-founder of OnePlus, Nothing has already released two versions of its true wireless earphones. The company’s focus on quality and innovation is evident in the new Android 13 update, which has undergone thorough testing before being deployed as an OTA update to its devices.
The select group of Nothing Phone 1 testers who ran the Nothing OS 1.5 beta version based on the Android 13 update reported a 50 percent boost in app loading speed. The update also features multi-language support for third-party apps and a new weather app featuring Nothing’s customized UI. A new user interface for volume control, glyph ringtone, wallpapers, and notification sounds, along with a new design for media control and a self-repair feature, is part of the updated package.
The update is expected to reach most Nothing Phone 1 users, including those in India, by the end of February. The company is also gearing up to launch the Nothing Phone 2 later this year, which reportedly has at least 12GB of RAM, a 120Hz AMOLED display, a 5,000mAH battery, and an unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chipset.
With the upcoming launch of the Nothing Phone 2, it is evident that the company is continuing to prioritize its commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. For Nothing Phone 1 users, the Android 13 update will undoubtedly bring a new level of excitement to an already highly-regarded phone. Nothing’s careful testing and rollout process ensure that the update is thoroughly tested before deployment, which should provide users with an exceptional experience.
Overall, the gradual rollout of the Android 13 update to the Nothing Phone 1 devices, with its numerous improvements, is a testament to Nothing’s dedication to delivering cutting-edge technology to consumers.
