Xiaomi Unveils Impressive Quad-Camera Setup with 50MP Sensors on Upcoming 13 Ultra, Launching Globally on April 18th!

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of its new flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, via Weibo. The launch event, titled “A shot above,” will take place in China at 7:00 pm local time on April 18 and will be unveiled simultaneously in China and globally.

The Chinese tech giant has teased Leica-branded quad rear cameras via posters and camera samples shared on Weibo. As expected, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and a 120Hz refresh rate display. It is expected to come in 12GB and 16GB RAM options and 256GB and 512GB storage options.

The quad rear camera setup of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is said to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and two 50-megapixel telephoto sensors. The phone may also have a 32-megapixel selfie sensor and a 4,900mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.

According to Xiaomi CEO and founder, Lei Jun, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be the “second chapter” of Xiaomi’s imaging strategy upgrade. The phone’s camera samples highlight the advancements of the image sensors.

The Xiaomi 13 series currently includes the vanilla Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 13 Lite. It is expected that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will sit above the 13 pro models.

Xiaomi is expected to release more information on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra during the launch event. The event will likely provide details on the phone’s price and availability, which will be eagerly awaited by fans and tech enthusiasts alike.
