MG Motors has launched its latest offering, the MG Comet, in India. The 2-door compact car comes with a 4-seater configuration and has been priced at an introductory price of INR 7.98 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The small footprint of the MG Comet makes it an ideal vehicle for city commuting and can be used as a secondary car in the household. The interior has a minimalistic design with a modern-looking dashboard and steering wheel. It comes with a dual-screen setup consisting of a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
The MG Comet is equipped with a 17.3 kWh Li-ion battery, offering a claimed range of up to 230 km on a full charge. It also comes with 3-drive modes and 3 KERS modes. iSmart with 55+Connected Car Features, 100+ Voice Commands are on offer. The passenger seat has a One Touch Slide & Recline feature.
Safety features include Dual Front Airbags, ABS +EBD, Front & Rear 3 pt. Seat Belts, Rear Parking Camera & Sensor, TPMS (Indirect), and ISOFIX Child Seat. MG Motors has also announced two special editions of the Comet–Gamer edition and the LIT edition. It will be available with several personalization options, including 250+ decal options, graphics, etc.
The pricing of higher variants will be revealed in May. The quirky design of the car is due to its size. The MG Comet is designed for practicality and convenience, making it an ideal car for the modern-day commuter. The launch of the MG Comet has been met with great anticipation, and the car is expected to do well in the Indian market.
