e SIM has just started functioning in Nepal a few months ago. This service was started by Nepal telecom and those who wanted a sim had to get it from Nepal telecom but recently Ncell has also started providing e-SIM in Nepal. Existing customers can also replace their physical sim with an e-SIM.
How to get e SIM from Ncell??
Existing Customers can get their physical sim replaced by an e-SIM by sending a message.
Customers have to send a message to 17125 with their citizenship no. and their mail address. After this step representatives from Ncell will call the customers for confirming the customer identity.
Ncell has also mentioned all the processes for upgrading to e-SIM will be done free of cost.
But, Firstly you have to check your phone whether the phone supports e-SIM or not. To do this simply, go to your dialer and dial *#06# if the device shows Embedded Identity Document(EID) details, it means your device supports e-SIM.
