The 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro M2 models are expected to share the same sleek design as the M1 variants that were released in late 2021. These laptops are expected to be powered by the new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, which feature up to 12 CPU cores and 38 GPU cores in the Max. While there may not be any major revisions, such as a touchscreen, the main reason to buy one of these laptops would be to get the best performance possible from a Mac laptop.
But the real game-changer could be the inclusion of WiFi 6E, the latest and fastest WiFi standard. An unreleased MacBook Pro was spotted in a Canadian wireless database with support for the newer WiFi standard’s 6GHz band. This means that with a supporting router, users can expect higher maximum speeds, lower latency, and less congestion on a busy local network. Apple’s iPad Pro M2 is already compatible with WiFi 6E, so it’s not a stretch to expect the same from the MacBook Pro.
