Exciting news for tech enthusiasts! Google is set to launch its latest series of smartphones, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro models, later this year. According to display analyst Ross Young, the Pixel 8 will boast a 6.16-inch display, while the Pixel 8 Pro will feature an even larger 6.7-inch panel. Both phones’ display panels will enter production in May 2023, hinting at an imminent release.
But that’s not all – the Pixel 8 series is rumored to come equipped with a powerful new Tensor G3 chipset. Leaked renders also suggest a sleek and modern design, with the Pixel 8 featuring rounded corners and a horizontal camera module with dual rear cameras. Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to have a triple rear camera setup, including a telephoto lens for stunning photography.
The base Pixel 8 model will feature a USB Type-C connector and a speaker grille on its bottom edge, with the power and volume buttons on the right side. The phone will measure 150.5mm x 70.8mm x 8.9mm in size, with a depth of 12mm including the camera module.
As for the Pixel 8 Pro, leaked images show more rounded corners than its predecessor and a hole punch cutout in the center for the selfie camera. The power and volume keys are located on the right edge of the phone, while the speaker grille and USB Type-C connector are situated at the bottom. The Pixel 8 Pro will measure 162.6mm x 76.5mm x 8.7mm in size, with a thickness of 12mm including the camera module.
Although the functionality of an additional sensor on the Pixel 8 Pro is yet to be disclosed, the excitement surrounding Google’s upcoming flagship series is palpable. For comparison, the Pixel 7 has a 6.30-inch full-HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, while the Pixel 7 Pro boasts a 6.70-inch QHD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. With such impressive specifications and cutting-edge features, the Pixel 8 series is sure to be a game-changer in the smartphone industry.
