Woo hoo! Tesla had a record-breaking Q4 in 2022, delivering a total of 405,278 electric vehicles to customers all over the world. While this number fell short of analysts’ expectations of around 418,000 deliveries, it’s still an impressive feat for the company.
The majority of these deliveries were Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, with a total of 388,131 finding their way into the hands of eager customers. The more expensive Model S and Model X cars accounted for a slightly smaller number, with 17,147 deliveries over the same period.
But that’s not all – Tesla also set a new record for production in Q4 2022, with a total of 439,701 vehicles rolling off the assembly line. The company faced some challenges throughout the quarter, including COVID-19 restrictions in China and logistical issues with transportation for completed vehicles.
Unfortunately, Elon Musk’s handling of Twitter and repeat Tesla stock selloffs also had a negative impact on the company. In December, Tesla’s stock value fell by a significant 33% before rallying in anticipation of the Q4 results.
These results will be published in full on January 25th, and Tesla will hold its next annual Investor Day presentation on March 1st. In the meantime, it’s clear that the company had a successful Q4, despite facing some obstacles along the way. Here’s to even more success in the future!
