Jeep Nepal has just dropped a bomb on the Nepalese car market with the unveiling of the upcoming Jeep Meridian 7-seater SUV’s pricing. This is a new addition to the Jeep lineup and is set to make a big impact in the market with its impressive specs and design. The Meridian will be available at a price of Rs 1.80 crore and will only be available in the top-spec Limited (O) trim.
The Jeep Meridian is built on the Compass’ underpinnings, but with a few modifications to make it larger in overall length and wheelbase. The Meridian measures 4,769mm in length, 1,859mm in width, and 1,682mm in height, and the wheelbase has increased by 146mm to 2,974mm. This new SUV is sure to provide a spacious and comfortable ride for the whole family.
The styling of the Meridian, especially the front fascia, is inspired by the Jeep Grand Cherokee, giving it a sleek and sophisticated look. The interior of the Meridian features a brown color scheme, which is a refreshing change from the all-black look of the new Compass. The leather upholstery is unique, with a perforated and quilted pattern, making the interior not only practical but also stylish.
Under the hood, the Meridian will be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Multijet turbo-diesel engine that produces 170hp and 350 Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive (AWD) layout, providing a smooth and powerful drive.
Jeep has not compromised on the equipment list either, the Meridian comes with powered front seats, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, and six airbags. It also has traction control, ESC, hill start and descent control, a 360-degree parking camera, and selectable drive modes to cater to different driving conditions.
The Meridian also packs in a few extra features, including a powered tailgate and a 9-speaker audio system by Alpine. This SUV is designed to provide a comfortable and convenient ride, and the additional features just add to the overall experience.
The Meridian will be competing against the Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq in the Nepalese market. With its impressive specs and stylish design, it is sure to make a big impact and stand out from the competition. Jeep Nepal has once again proven that they do not compromise on quality, and the Meridian is a true testament to that. The Nepalese car market is about to get a whole lot more exciting with the arrival of the Jeep Meridian 7-seater SUV.
