Google Pixel Fold Available for Pre-Orders Starting May 10, Leaks Reveal Pricing and Specifications

Google’s highly anticipated Pixel Fold is expected to be unveiled during the company’s annual developer conference, Google I/O, which is set to take place in May. However, recent leaks have revealed the pricing, availability, and specifications of the foldable device.

According to the leaks, the Pixel Fold may be available for pre-orders starting May 10 via Google Store, with pre-orders through carriers starting from May 30. The device is said to be available in chalk and obsidian color options.

The Pixel Fold is speculated to come with a Tensor G2 SoC under the hood, like the recently launched Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. It may also feature a Titan M2 security chip and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

A live video of the Pixel Fold’s design has also surfaced online ahead of its presumed debut in May. The video suggests that the Pixel Fold may feature a 7.6-inch inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 5.8-inch OLED outer display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Pixel Fold may carry a triple rear camera unit and a 9.5-megapixel front-facing camera. It may also come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and support face unlock.

The battery is said to offer more than 24 hours of playback time and up to 72 hours of standby time. The Pixel Fold may measure 5.5mm x 3.1mm x 0.5 and weigh 283 grams.

As for the pricing, the Pixel Fold will cost $1,799 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant and $1,919 for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant.

Furthermore, the Pixel Fold is expected to offer a free Pixel Watch for customers pre-ordering the foldable, making it an even more attractive offer for those looking to upgrade their devices.
